Migraine Advocacy Walk/Run - Veterans Memorial Park Sept. 29

Past event
Sep 29, 2018, 9 to 11 AM

"A severe migraine attack is as debilitating as quadriplegia." 37 million people in the U.S. have migraine, and it is much more than "just a headache." Almost everyone knows someone who has migraine. Yet migraine treatment and research remain woefully underfunded.

Miles for Migraine (milesformigraine.org), a nation-wide non-profit, is doing something about this, and Vermonters are invited to "Step Up" to take part in its Migraine Advocacy 2-mile Walk and 5K & 10K Run on Saturday September 29, 2018 at 9:00AM at Veterans Memorial Park, Swift St & Dorset, South Burlington,.All funds raised stay right here to benefit the University of Vermont Medical Center's Headache Clinic to support headache fellowships & research. Come out to walk, run, volunteer, or just to show your awareness and support. There will be a tent if you aren't up for exercise. It's a great opportunity to meet others who understand what it means to live with migraine and headache disease, while supporting the cause. For information, go to raceroster.com/17654"
