World-renowned children's author, Vermont resident, and frequent Vermont Humanities Council presenter Katherine Paterson will speak about her work including her book, Bread and Roses, Too, the Vermont Reads book for 2018. The novel of historical fiction tells the story of the 1912 "Bread and Roses" strike in the Lawrence, Massachusetts textile mills through the eyes of an Italian-American girl and a runaway boy.
