Knotweed Demonstration - Volunteers Needed

This Saturday the Conservation Commission will be kicking off our Japanese Knotweed eradication demonstration in Mill Village across from the Little Hosmer boat luanch. Sam Perron from Northwoods Stewardship Center and Phil Wilson from Natural Resource Conservation Service will give a short presentation on Knotweed control methods and funding available to help landowners deal with invasive plants. Following the presentation will we begin work on our demonstration plot. Volunteers are needed to help with cutting (bring pruning loppers if you have them), dragging, bagging and loading plants, as well as counting and, injecting herbicide.
