We will be hosting a skateboard camp for beginners to advanced youth skateboarders Saturday September 15th! The Bristol Recreation Department will be sponsoring this day long skateboard camp from 10am - 3pm for boys and girls!
In this one day camp, beginners will learn skateboard mechanics and basic riding skills such as balance, carving, riding transitions, and dropping-in. Advanced skaters learn grinds, ollies, and airs, and have the chance to learn to drop in on bigger ramps, and learn kick flip tricks. Skaters will be assessed in the morning of the session and the day will be adapted to their ability. All participants are educated in skateboard safety, which includes ways to fall that minimizes injury. Girls are encouraged to attend.
Whether your child is a beginner or an advanced skater, we have a program that will allow him/her to excel. In addition to learning how to skateboard, children learn valuable life lessons through skateboarding: Balance, patience, commitment, encouragement and perseverance.
Visit the Bristol Rec Dept. website to sign your young ones up for all the fun! https://bristolvt.myrec.com/info/activities/program_details.aspx?ProgramID=29873
