The VT Superior Court has made a ruling on the recount of the August 14, 2018 Primary Election for the office of State Representative for the Chittenden 9-2 District and subsequently ordered a Runoff Election. It has been scheduled on Monday, September 10, 2018 from 7 am to 7 pm at Bayside Activity Center, 34 Blakely Rd, Colchester, VT 05446.
Parking is on either side of the building. The entrance is on the parking lot side of the building and the exit is the front door, facing West Lakeshore Dr. with sidewalks leading back to the parking areas.
The space is small but will easily accommodate an election for the 9-2 district. All registered voters in the 9-2 district are eligible to vote in this election and same day registration voter rules apply. Absentee voting will be a very small window of time. Voting will be available at the Town Clerk's Office when the ballots come in. Requesting absentee ballots to be mailed is available but not recommended based on the mailing time with the US Postal system. I will need the ballots to be received back into the Town Clerk's Office by Friday or dropped off at the polling location on Election Day, Monday, September 10, 2018.
Thank you.
