Neuroplasticiy, the Feldenkrais Method® and the Art and Practice of Living a Healthy and Meaningful Life

Based on the foundational importance of movement in human development, Moshe Feldenkrais devised movement sequences that help us learn to become more versatile. He understood that increasing flexible movement is inextricably tied to flexibility in our brains and intended that flexibility to generalize into flexibility in our thinking, feeling and acting. His work anticipated the new field of neuroplasticity: Our brain's ability to reorganize itself by forming new neural connections throughout our lives.

The core of his considerable contributions has to do with the HOW we go about learning what we need/desire to learn. How we improve our ability to learn. How to go beyond our own personal limitations of what we thought was possible.

This talk will cover these themes and include gentle movement sequences so that you experience neuroplasticity in action.
