Trees of Middlebury: Walk-and-Talk
Vermont is 75% forested, but how much do we really know about the trees in our area? Did you know that trees produce hormones? Do you know how bark is formed? If you want to build a treehouse, what happens if you nail wood in a vertical line on the trunk? Join the Conservation Commission on Friday, September 7 at 5:30pm on the Town Green as we take a Walk-and-Talk with Middlebury Tree Warden Chris Zeoli. Learn important information about local trees, including: their health; threats here and on the horizon (such as pests and fungi); proper tree maintenance; their structure, among other things.
Bring: yourself, and a healthy interest. All are welcome. Please contact Conservation Commission member Kemi Fuentes-George at George.kemi@gmail.com with any questions. Looking forward to seeing you there.
