Internet Safety/Bias and Fake News Workshop

In the first part of this 90 minute workshop, the audience will be introduced to various internet safety concerns and tips and tricks how to be safe and smart online as well as how to decrease the risk of becoming an online victim. In the second part of the workshop, we cover the concepts of bias news and fake news without making the topic political. The purpose of this part of the workshop is to inform the audience about the two concepts and what we can do as media consumers to identify bias news and fake news as well as tips and tricks how to verify the credibility of the information and the source. The workshop includes a discussion session with the audience following each of the two presentations.
