Celebrate our canine friends at the 1st Annual Dog Days of Summer event! Visit vendor booths, enjoy the photo booth for a picture perfect shot, dress your dog up for the costume contest and watch canine demonstrations-including the Vermont Search & Rescue K-9's or simply enjoy a walk with your dog on our miles of trails. Who knows, you may even find your next best friend...Springfield Humane Society will be bringing some pups looking for their forever home!
The event is dedicated exclusively for dogs and their people and will showcase a variety of Vermont products and organizations! Learn about local boarding options, meet animal portrait artists and learn what it takes to become a therapy dog team. Schedule of Events:
11:30- Puppy Play Time: Learn to understand canine body language during a supervised playtime for puppies under 5 months old. Space will be available on a first come basis.
12:30- Vermont Search & Rescue K9 Demonstration
1:30- Doggy Costume Contest- dress up your dog and join the parade! Event goers will have a chance to cast their vote for the best costume, and you have the chance to win some great prizes!
Admission is $5 for adults; $3 youth ages 6-16 yrs; Kids under 6 are free
Dogs are encouraged to attend with their owners, but please make sure they are on leash at all times!
