==Original Invitation==
Join your neighbors at a community forum/coffee hour to focus on the largest contributing factor in this and last year's education tax increase: the state base rate. Several state senators representing both the Finance Committee and Education Committee will join us to listen to your concerns and engage the community about how the state is reacting to this issue in both the short and long term. Thus far we have confirmed attendance from Tim Ashe (Chair, Senate Committee on Finance) and Virginia Lyons (Senate Committee on Finance), and invitations/pending agreements from Philip Baruth (Senate committee on Education), Diane Snelling (Clerk, Senate Committee on Appropriations), and David Zuckerman (Clerk, Senate Committee on Education).
Light refreshments will be provided.
This is an unique opportunity to personally speak with those who can bring your voice directly to the conversation about education finance reform.
All are welcome.
