Greater Barton Arts invites its Advisory Committee to dinner in the soon-to-be open Arts Center Friday August 17 from 5 to 7 P.M. at 396 Main Street in Barton. The Center, will feature classroom and gallery spaces, a wi-fi cafe and coffeehouse, community meeting and performance spaces, a satellite studio of NEK 17 TV, welcome center/gift shop, framing studio and other activities. Greater Barton Arts has worked to support artists and art activities for four years in the greater Barton area with help from the Vermont Community Foundation, Constellation energy, and volunteers and donors. A Center with year round activities will greatly enhance GBA's mission to make art an engine of economic activity in the Northeast Kingdom.
