This year's annual Hogback summer meeting is featuring MOOSE! Once a year, the Hogback Mountain Conservation Association hosts a free public event featuring an interesting speaker with an illustrated talk. This year, Scott Darling of VT Fish & Wildlife will be talking about "Moose in Vermont - Tiny Threats to Our Biggest Mammals." He'll also be bringing some moose items, like hides and antlers, for you to look at. As in past years, we'll be meeting at Wilmington's Memorial Hall at 14 W. Main Street. The doors open at 7:00 with a short social hour when you can chat with Scott or your friends and neighbors, and look at the moose-related items and Hogback information posters. The illustrated talk will begin at 7:30. This is a free event, but we'll gratefully accept donations to support the continuing work of the Hogback Mountain Conservation Association.
