Malayaka House Partnership

Malayaka House is an organization in Uganda with roots in Vermont. It rescues orphaned and abandoned children in Uganda and offers them a new life with new opportunities. They provide a secure home where our children can thrive in an environment of love, equality and respect. The children are supported with nutrition, education, vocational training, and an extended family of local women caretakers, community members, and international volunteers, all working together to create a bright and hopeful future for children that society had discarded.

Charlotte Congregational Church (403 Church Hill Lane) is beginning a new partnership with Malayaka House and we invite you to join us this Sunday, 8/19 at 10AM as we celebrate in our weekly worship service.

The worship service will feature:
- greetings from VT residents Robert Fleming and Amy Carst founders of Malayaka House and Malayaka House Vermont
- an interactive prayer time
- a gift of letters and photos from our Sunday School
- a card and check presentation
- a Malayaka House-themed message
- a reception afterward that will feature a beautiful collection of photos from Uganda, a table of African crafts for sale, a time to chat with Robert Fleming and Amy Carst, and a Skype conversation directly with Malayaka House

August 19th will be a joyous day to celebrate our new partnership with Malayaka House and an evolving friendship that promises to be filled with rewarding activities over the next few years. We're looking forward to the official kickoff off this relationship—and hope you'll join us!
