The Lake Iroquois Association and Carpenter-Carse Library are very happy to host a speaker from the Vermont Loon Conservation Project (VLCP). This is a particularly exciting time for this talk, with loons nesting in the area.
Join VLCP coordinator and conservation biologist Eric Hanson for a discussion of the amazing recovery of loons in Vermont over the past 30 years, the threats that they face, and the conservation actions that have brought them back, including capture and rescue stories.
The VLCP is a program of the Vermont Center for Ecostudies (VCE) and the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department.
More information on the project at www.vtecostudies.org
The talk will be held this Tuesday (6:30 p.m.) in the Community Room at Carpenter-Carse Library.
