NOTICE OF AND SITE VISITS & PUBLIC HEARINGS
DISCONTINUANCE OF 15 CLASS THREE TOWN HIGHWAYS

The Town of Northfield Select Board will hold site visits and public hearings to consider discontinuing the following Class Three Town Highways: Apple Lane, Beaudette Road, Bellemore Road, Boardman Road, Horse Lane, Hutch Road, Jerry Road, Kingston Road, Morning Star Lane, Payette Drive, Potato Hill Road, Staples Road, Storti Road, Thrush Lane, and Tracy Hill Road.
The Select Board is undertaking this discontinuance process because these roads access one home (with the exception of Thrush Lane), are relatively short and function as driveways. In addition, it will allow the Town to more efficiently maintain the overall general highway network.
The Select Board will separate the site visits and public hearings for the fifteen (15) roads into three (3) separate dates to consist of the following: Payette Drive, Hutch Road, Horse Lane, Jerry Road, and Staples Road on Tuesday, August 14, 2018; Bellemore Road, Kingston Road, Apple Lane, Thrush Lane, and Tracy Hill Road on Tuesday, August 28, 2018; and Morning Star Lane, Potato Hill Road, Storti Road, Beaudette Road, and Boardman Road on Tuesday, September 11, 2018.
The site visits will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the first road listed for each date above. The public hearings will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be held in the Community Room located in the Brown Public Library (93 South Main Street).
