Past event
Feb 24, 2014

On Monday, 2/24, at 6:30 PM, the Craftsbury Energy Committee is offering an informational meeting on a proposed 10 kilowatt solar electric system for the Town on Craftsbury.

The Town of Crafstbury is warning a proposed 10 kW solar electric installation at it’s upcoming town meeting. This system would benefit the Town of Craftsbury’s town garages and town hall. With maximum state incentives of $12,500, a municipal 10 kw solar electric project can pay for itself in 12 – 14 years. It’s useful life is well over 25 years, and will provide 1/3 of Craftsbury’s municipal electric needs. The warning ties the complete funding for the proposal to Green Mountain Power’s “Good Neighbor Fund” from the Lowell Mountain Industrial Wind project. Come and learn about other benefits to the town along with potential siting, expected production, and equipment proposed. Learn also how home owners can save money on their electric bill by doing the same for their own residence, taking advantage of state incentives and tax benefits.

The informational meeting is Monday, 2/24,
at the Craftsbury Town Hall, at 6:30.
We hope to see you there!
