CHAMBER MUSIC WEEK FEATURING MUSICIANS FROM THE CAROGA ARTS COLLECTIVE FROM AUGUST 26th - 29th Dorset, VT— Musicians from the Caroga Arts Collective (CAC) will collaborate for a week of chamber music from August 26-29, with 5 vibrant performances featuring KASA Quartet, harpist Alix Raspé, clarinetist Graeme Steele Johnson and more. Last summer, many of the CAC musicians including KASA Quartet and Alix Raspé performed in Dorset for the Dorset Chamber Music Residency.
The Caroga Arts Collective (CAC) is a 501 c-3 non-profit based in Caroga Lake, NY. CAC was founded by Dr. Kyle Barrett Price to create interdisciplinary and inter-arts collaborations among musicians, artists, scholars, and their communities.
Performances will include music by Debussy, Mozart, Brahms, Korngold, Massenet and more in local community venues including the United Church of Dorset and East Rupert, Dorset Village Library, Barrow's House and The Dorset School.
Musicians-in-residence include KASA Quartet (Andy Liang, Aaron Schwartz, Stephanie Price- Wong and Dr. Kyle Barrett Price), Alix Raspé; harp, Graeme Steele Johnson; clarinet and more. These award- winning musicians have separately been featured on NPR's From the Top, performed with the American Symphony Orchestra, Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Seattle Symphony, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Columbus Symphony and been featured in major motion pictures.
