The Pawlett Historical Society will present Ken Major and the Forgotten Border Conflict: A Pawlet Story on Thursday August 16th, 2018 at the Chriss Monroe Chapel on Cemetery Hill Rd. in Pawlet,Vt. There will be a free drawing for a number of historical coins, buttons and other material This talk will give us details on the fascinating New York and Vermont border history and share recovered archaeological objects from home sites in the area to help tell the more personal stories of those present during the settlement, land conflicts, Republic, early statehood and later abandonment of the region.
