The Rover -- CSWD's mobile collection unit for household hazardous waste -- is making its annual stop in Hinesburg this weekend! It provides free drop-off of household hazardous leftovers such as paints and stains, automotive fluids, batteries, hobby supplies, marine flares, pesticides, fertilizers, household cleaners, beauty supplies, and anything with the words "Danger," "Caution," "Warning," or "Poison" on the label. The Rover is open to Chittenden County households only.
====
DATE: Saturday, August 11th
TIME: 9am to 1pm
LOCATION: Hinesburg Community School
COST: No charge!
====
Helpful tip: If you can, please put your items in a cardboard box (or boxes) before you visit. It makes life much easier for our staff (and other visitors) if they don't need to unload your items one-by-one, and if you can drop off the container with your items.
NOT accepted: NO asbestos, NO explosives, NO prescription drugs. For a full list of acceptable items, visit https://cswd.net/hazardous-waste
Of course, you can always bring your hazardous leftovers to the Environmental Depot, open year-round:
ENVIRONMENTAL DEPOT
1011 Airport Parkway
South Burlington, VT 05403
Wed-Fri 8-2; Sat 8-3:30
It's open all year long, and open to the public (fees may apply to businesses and out-of-district residents).
Questions? Call our hotline at (802) 872-8111 (Mon-Fri 9-4).
