"Moose in Vermont - Tiny Threats to Our Biggest Mammals"

Seeing a moose, our biggest wild mammal in Vermont, can be a thrill. It's not unusual to come across moose tracks in the Hogback Mountain Conservation Area. A lucky few have seen the moose themselves. The moose population had been increasing in our part of the state in the past few decades, but now moose are facing new threats.

Scott Darling, Wildlife Management Program Manager for Vermont Fish & Wildlife, will be giving a talk on "Moose in Vermont - Tiny Threats to Our Biggest Mammals" at the Hogback Mountain Conservation Association's annual Summer Meeting. Come and see Scott's incredible images of moose in our forests, and hear about what we can do to help maintain a healthy moose population. This is a free event open to the public.
