Past event
Aug 23, 2018, 3 to 9 PM

This is a reminder that on August 9 and again on August 23 Shelburne's Planning Commission will be soliciting public on the latest draft of the 2019 Comprehensive Plan.

According to state law, a Comprehensive Plan establishes municipal policies "to guide the future growth and development of land, public services, and facilities, and to protect the environment." Shelburne created its first Comprehensive Plan in the 1960s.

Shelburne's Planning Commission has been working since February of 2017 to prepare a new Comprehensive Plan. (You can obtain a copy of the draft at https://goo.gl/M4KWhg or by visiting the Town web site.) The Commission is now inviting residents, business owners, and others to share their opinions about the draft at comment sessions to be held at the Shelburne Town Offices located at 5420 Shelburne Road.

The sessions will run from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and again from 7:00pm to 9:00pm on each date. Light refreshments will be provided.

On August 9 topics will include:

• Overall Vision for the Town
• Future land use / development patterns
• Natural Resources
• Growth
• Recreation and
• Childcare

On August 23 topics will include :

• Transportation
• Historic and cultural resources
• Housing
• Public Facilities
• Energy and
• Telecommunications

Please consider attending one or both of these sessions.

Do not hesitate to contact the Planning and Zoning office if you have any questions about the draft Plan or the input sessions.

Thanks.
