Explore Camp Plymouth State Park where hopeful prospectors once panned for gold in Buffalo Brook. You can swim, bask in the sun, paddle in Echo Lake with a rental boat, and check out a short hiking trail. There will be an opportunity, also, to spend time at the nearby Calvin Coolidge Homestead in Plymouth Notch, which features an old-fashioned general store, the Coolidge family home, the second-oldest cheese making facility in the U.S., and a renovated museum dedicated to Calvin Coolidge's life and presidency. This trip is organized by the Montpelier Senior Activity Center and there are three seats left in the van. To register, call MSAC (223-2518) prior to 4:00 pm on Friday.
