Be a Hero!
St Peter's Church, 200 Pleasant St., Bennington - Friday, August 10th – 4:00 to 5:30. Rights and Democracy hosts "Be a Hero Tour" with Ady Barkan, nationally known disability rights advocate, and our own Senator Bernie Sanders, a tireless healthcare advocate. Ady and Bernie will urge us to "Be a Hero" by demanding Improved Medicare for All- healthcare as a human right! Come hear Ady's story- Ady has ALS and wants to make a difference in the time he has left. Bernie wants to help him! Let's ALL help him! Ady Barkan, an incredible activist who is battling ALS, is touring across the country with a mission and he's coming to Vermont! He is asking you to be a hero, get out and rally, and get out on doors to turn the tide in this year's midterm elections. Ady famously confronted Senator Jeff Flake last year about his vote on the Republican tax bill, and has continued to tirelessly stand up for our rights to health care, economic security and urge us all to take back our democracy. Join us in Bennington to stand up for our health care, raising the minimum wage, paid family leave, racial justice, and our country!
