The 71st Sheffield Field Day will take place this year on Labor day, September 3rd 2018. The theme this year is "Let's Celebrate!" 2018 is Sheffield's 225th year of being chartered and not only do we want to celebrate Labor day, we want to celebrate Sheffield. There are lots of events for all different ages that will be going on all day, starting with pony pulling at 8am. Food Booth's open at 8:30-4pm, the town hall opens for the ticket raffle, floral hall, bingo and the Isabelle Noyes Memorial Dessert Auction at 9am. The Grand Parade starts at 10am followed by music played by the Sutton River band at 11am. Children's activities will start at 8:30am with the exception of the Dunk tank, that will start after the parade and they all will run until 4pm. The Corn Roast starts at 10:30 and The Chicken Barbecue at noon. The Softball and Horseshoe Tournaments will run all day. The Dessert auction will end at 1:30pm and then The Pat O'Hagan Memorial Fiddlers contest will start at 2pm. Ticket raffle winners will be drawn at 3pm and Floral hall will be judged at 8:30am.
Donations for the Ticket raffle must be in by August 25th. Entries for Floral Hall need to be to the Town Hall by 4pm on Sunday September 2nd.
If you want to volunteer you can come to our last meeting on August 16th, at 6pm at the Sheffield Town Hall.
