On August 25th, the Monkton Scouts will be hosting "Monkton Community Day" at Morse Park.
Event starts at 3:00 PM, pot luck dinner at 6:00 PM.
This year we are taking our traditional Scout day up a few notches.
Local businesses are coming, music in the evening and a big truck/tractor day to bring everyone out. We'll have rocket kits to build and launch and other scout activities to boot. Community potluck in the evening with burgers and hot dogs by the Scouts.
This event is open to the entire community. Come and check it out. We have plenty of folks who've done Scouting for years. We need adults and youth to join us to keep the tradition going. Think about it -- quality time with your kids building life skills and community.
