Just FYI: there are two candidate forums happening tonight, August 2nd, one for State's Attorney and one for the Democratic candidates for Governor.

The State's Attorney Candidate Forum is from 6:15-8:30 at the Vermont Law School and will be streamed live on the ACLU Vermont's Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/ACLU.Vermont/ You can also attend in person-- check with the Vermont Law School for details.

Here is the info for tonight's Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate Forum:

CCTV will host an in-studio candidate forum on Thursday, Aug. 2, which will be broadcast live on Channel 17 at 5:25 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the public is invited to attend in person or watch the livestream. Questions for the candidates are welcome.

The following candidates will be present to discuss their campaign platforms and answer questions in a forum moderated by VTDigger reporter Xander Landen: James Ehlers, Christine Hallquist, Brenda Siegel and Ethan Sonneborn. Write-in candidate John Rodgers has been invited to join the forum.

This event is free and open to the public. To reserve a seat in the Burlington studio, please click here for information. VTDigger will host the livestream starting at 5:25 pm.

The public is invited to submit questions in advance. I can't seem to copy in the link to submit your question online, but maybe you could find it on VTDigger's website or you may also record yourself asking a question by calling (802) 552-3495.
