The Wolcott Historical Society is planning our first FUNdraising event for restoring the historic Old Schoolhouse on School Street. (Did you know that this schoolhouse is part of the School Street Historic District that is a registered Vermont historic building?) This fun-filled event will be held on August 18th at the Town Offices and Rail Trail Gazebo. The Old Schoolhouse Alumni Day & Community Celebration is open to the whole community (young and old), and alumni from the Old Schoolhouse will surely be sharing (and recording) their wonderful stories of their old school days on School Street. Theresa Howard will join our celebration as our DJ, and local musicians who are inspired to join the festivities are invited to do so. We'll have box lunches on sale for a picnic lunch, a silent auction, back-to-school grab bags.

We're still in the planning stages, so if you wish to help us to help with the planning, there is still time. We're having a planning meeting this coming Tuesday (8/7) at 6PM. If you are willing to help us with this event, please come to our meeting at the town offices. We'd love your help and support!
