Mark your calenders, the Worcester Book Sale is just around the corner. Come visit with neighbors and stock up on books for your winter reading.
The annual book sale is one of 4 (fun)draisers held each year to benefit the Worcester Community Lunch and Food Shelf. (The other 3 are the Spring and Fall clothing swaps and the Mud Season Variety Show). We rely on these fund raisers and on community donations to keep the shelves stocked in the Food Shelf and to provide the ingredients for our wonderful Wednesday lunches.
Volunteers will be at the Worcester Town Hall Thursday August 23rd and Friday August 24th accepting donations of books from noon to five. Books should be in good shape, clean, with no mildew smell. Please, no encyclopedias or Readers Digest condensed books. If you have books to donate but can't bring them on those days, call Laura Atkinson at 223-4842 to make other arrangements.
