One of Vermont's premier musicians is coming to Adamant for a rare solo appearance, Sunday, August 5, at 7:30 PM. Known for his work as lead guitarist for The Unknown Blues Band and Kiliminjaro, Paul Asbell will perform a solo concert of blues and folk music that he has termed "Steel String Americana." Asbell says, "I'd like to think of it as taking people on a trip – geographically and chronologically – though the last 100 years of American music across the country. I'll be painting a long view of American roots music, beginning with songs from the recording era in the '20s." Admission is $15, free for age 12 and under. The Adamant Community Club is in intimate space that will be ideal to appreciate Asbell's artistry. But space is limited - so reservations are recommended at this email address or at 454-7103.
