On Saturday, February 15, the Waterbury Rotary Club will be holding its Annual Pie For Breakfast with proceeds benefiting the Club’s Youth Exchange Program. The Breakfast will be held at the Waterbury American Legion at 16 Stowe Street in Waterbury, VT. Doors open at 7 AM through 11 AM with students at $5 and adults at $7 for all the pie you can eat. The Rotary Club will have over 150 individual pies, from savory to sweet, to offer to the patrons. There will be also be a Silent Auction with over $600 in merchandise and Gift Certificates as well as live musical entertainment.

The event will culminate with the Club, in partnership with Rotary District 7850, announcing to eighteen high school students from the District, to which countries they will be spending their 2014/15 academic year of High School. Three of the students are local residents of Waterbury and Moretown. From Waterbury, Scooter Randolph and Hannah Austin and from Moretown, Maura Riley all are excited to find out what country they will call home in August.

Rotary Youth Exchange is open to students ages 15 to 19 and offers the benefit of living a new culture at a very reasonable price. When applying to Youth Exchange, students choose five countries they would like to live and at The Breakfast, their match is made. With eighteen students in Rotary Youth Exchange Class of 2014/15, it is the largest Class ever.
