Purple, a Prince tribute band steps up to the Tuesday Night Live Outdoor Stage on July 31st from 6 PM to 8:30 PM at the Legion Field. The multi-piece band, Purple is led by Craig Mitchell and features members of several Vermont bands including the Seth Yacovone Band, the Renegrade Groove, and the High Breaks. They feature the best music of Prince during his career. It will be a night of dancing on the lawn and good memories.
Great food is available: JJs Maple Cotton Candy, Green Mountain, Kettle Corn, Papa Gyro, Kingdom Creamery Ice Cream, Mediterranean Mix, Nepalese Himalayan Food, Northern Fire and Slice Pizza, Omakase Sushi Truck, Taco Truck All Stars, Downtown (garlic knots and cannoli - not pizza,) and the Community oven.
As they have since 2007, the Historical Society will offer slices of homemade pie and Alice's German chocolate cake and McKenzie hot dogs. From apricot to toll house pie and everything in between, enjoy a sweet treat like your grandmother used to make.
Stop by the Conservation Commission tent for Hillary Emick to show you where in Johnson you can find evidence of the ice ages. Cool topic on a hot night. Learn the latest Skate Park news from Casey Romero, right next to the JCC.
There is always something new at the Lamoille Solid Waste District tent. Enjoy the music and check out what your neighbors are doing to create a positive sense of community.
Its Free! Wear purple for Prince and bring a blanket or chair. Rain or shine. Only lightning and thunder stop the music.
