Come Pick Some Winners!... Blueberry season is beginning to wind down, and Owl's Head Farm has been kind enough to set aside a few rows of blueberries for us to pick for the students at Richmond Elementary School. Would you be willing to come out for some festive blueberry picking with other volunteers--kids and adults alike?

What: Pick blueberries for Richmond Elementary School Farm to School

When: 2 options: Wednesday, August 14 from 5-7 PM (And/Or) Friday, August 16 from 9-12 AM

Where: Meet at Owl's Head. Either you'll see a group of us at the hut there at the start time, or ask them to direct you to the rows for RES Farm to School

Why: Help preserve the local harvest so Richmond kids can enjoy local fruit in their cafeteria all year long! And, have fun in Owl's Head's beautiful setting with other families.

Details: Bring containers of any sort (big yogurt tubs, old berry tubs, etc.) if you have them. I will deliver them at the end to the RES kitchen.

Come drizzle or shine. Feel free to call me if it's iffy!

The more the merrier-the more people who show up for these picking parties, the more tasty, healthy fruit will be available for kids throughout the year.

Thanks so much to Owl's Head for their generous donation of berries.

Please email if you have questions or to RSVP. (RSVP appreciated, but feel free to show up last minute if you can!)
