August 1st Workshop on Energy Efficient Building Practices for Residential New Construction:

Come to an on-site workshop to see first-hand how to build a highly efficient new home. Designed by Selin + Selin Architecture and constructed by Smith & McClain, the home is being built to Efficiency Vermont's High Performance Home standard and Energy Star – exceeding the building energy code. It will include a balanced, heat recovery ventilation systems, triple glazed windows, and will be heated by radiant floor heat. Workshop participants will have an opportunity to see state-of-the art air sealing and insulation techniques prior to drywall being installed. Learn about Efficiency Vermont's program to help homeowners meet and exceed building energy code requirements and be net zero ready homes. This workshop will be conducted by an energy expert from Efficiency Vermont at a home in Charlotte. Both the builder and architect will be on-site to answer questions.
