There will be a Democratic caucus to select nominees for Weybridge Justice of the Peace positions at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 1 in the Weybridge Town Office. JPs are members of the Board of Civil Authority, so they assist with elections and hear property tax appeals. In addition, they are empowered to perform weddings anywhere in Vermont.

If you are interested in being on the November ballot for one of these positions, please RSVP to this post. You do not have to be present to be nominated, but you stand a better chance of being nominated if you are there in person to make your case. The meeting should take less than an hour.
