Get ready for another great concert at the park! We are very pleased to have the Stragglers this Wednesday. There has been a switch on August 1st from King Me to Gneiss due to a scheduling conflict. Any cancellations due to rain will be posted on our Mills Riverside Park Facebook page, our website at www.millsriversidepark.org, and on our sidewalk sign at the park. We need the rain desperately but we are hoping for a dry Wednesday evening!
July 11 Shellhouse A favorite band at the park, Shellhouse played last year to an appreciative audience. This five member band was formed in 2003 and named after a mountain in Ferrisburg, VT. Bob Teer, Jim Fox, Andrea Teer, Bob DeFeo, and Marshall Breakstone bring original and familiar Americana music to the stage with multiple instruments. Come and enjoy!
July 18 Phil Henry Contemporary folk artist and songwriter, Phil Henry, crafts rich and sweeping song with beautiful chords and a big acoustic sound. Seven Days describes his creative music as "….vivid lyrical imagery that captures the imagination". This will be Phil's fifth concert at the park!
July 25 The Stragglers The Stragglers serve up their spin on bluegrass, vintage country, Americana and classic rock. The band includes Eric Bushey on the 4 and 5 string banjos, Chris Kellogg on guitar and harmonica, Preston Randall on acoustic and electric mandolin and Justin Bedell on upright bass. Toe stompin' music for everyone!
August 1 Gneiss Gneiss is a 4-piece rock band whose members live in and around Underhill. Gneiss - pronounced NICE - is also a kind of metamorphic rock that has been heated and compressed into layered bands. You can find gneiss right here in the Browns River - and you can find Gneiss playing all around the Burlington area. Their original songs are inspired by funk, jazz, blues, and the jamband scene. Lyrics, sung in harmony, reflect our Vermont landscape and lifestyle.
See you there!
