Tanya Barfield's innovative new play "Bright Half Life" movingly explores the stages of a relationship between two lesbians, over a 45-year period. In a non-linear way, the audience comes to understand how the women met, why they married, how they lived as a couple, and how their marriage came to end in divorce. The New Yorker described it as "a well-written, engaging portrayal of smart women finding themselves, and each other." Directed by Kim Ward (Montpelier), the cast consists of Carly Bennett (Burlington) and Fabienne Nadeau (Milton).
The performance will immediately be followed by a talkback, giving audience members a chance to ask questions of and make comments to the director and actors. Then there will be a complimentary reception, to enjoy homemade goodies and meet and greet the ensemble.
Tickets will be available at the door, as well as online at www.chandler-arts.org or by calling the Chandler box office (802) 728-6464.
