Workshop: Best Management Practices for Conservation on Public Roads
When: July 31, 2018 10am-2pm
Where: Johnson Town Auxiliary Building, 98 Lendway Lane, Johnson VT (South of Old Mill Park and across street from Johnson Town Garage
Please join us on a site visit in Johnson of Best Management Practices (BMPs) for local road maintenance, water quality protection, and erosion prevention. This event will include:
• A site visit demonstrating a unique solution to managing road runoff and erosion
• A discussion of road foremen experiences with BMPs, the VTrans Better Roads Program, and the Municipal Roads General Permit
• A short presentation on resources available from state and federal sources to fund BMPs on public roads
• Lunch will be provided!
