Richmond Troop 23 Bake Sale @Richmond Market July 21

Past event
Jul 21, 2018, 9 AM to 7 PM

Troop 23 is holding a community outreach and bake sale this Saturday 7/21/18 at the Richmond Market from 9am-7pm. Scouts and adult leaders will be there all day to share scouting stories and answer any questions about the Troop. We are excited to share with the community all of the great service projects the troop has in the queue or has completed in the past few years. We will have displays describing the many excellent activities and adventures Troop 23 has participated in recently.

We will be selling baked goods by donation. Proceeds from the bake sale will support the general troop fund and a 50 mile wilderness backpacking trip Troop 23 is attempting this August in Kings Canyon National park. This adventure is a week long self-supported backpacking trip and is the culmination of many aspects of the leadership and outdoor skills the scouts have learned.

100% of the funds raised will go towards supporting scout activities such as:
- high adventure trips like this summer's 50 mile backpacking trip
- sending scouts to National Youth Leadership Training
- purchase and repairs of equipment
- providing assistance for summer camp fees
- covering the costs of camporees and other scouting activities

We look forward to talking with you this Saturday!

If you cannot make it to the event, but would like to make a donation, Troop 23 has set up a GoFundMe page for this summer's 50 Miler at https://www.gofundme.com/troop23-50miler There are also links to more information about the 50 miler badge and the service component that goes with it.
