This is a reminder to all Sudbury Town Members that the School Board will be convening tonight at 5:15 p.m. at the School. We wish to have as many town members there as possible! I have attached the original e-mail. Thanks, Laurie

Dear Sudbury residents,
At February's meeting of the Sudbury School Board (Monday, Feb. 10, 5:15 pm at Sudbury's Country School), the Board will discuss two important topics:
1) Currently, Sudbury preschoolers who are 3 and 4 years old can attend the Sudbury-Whiting Preschool program at Whiting Elementary School. Recently, the RNESU Board voted not to continue funding the Preschool at Whiting as of next school year, due to declining enrollments and projected low preschool enrollments for the next 4-5 years.
That means Sudbury and Whiting preschoolers will need to attend Preschool in other RNESU schools (like Neshobe and Leicester) or private programs, UNLESS the local Boards in Sudbury and Whiting decide to operate a preschool program as a locally funded program.
2) We continue to collaborate and cooperate with Whiting School in many ways: shared staff, the shared preschool and after school programs, S-W sports teams, joint field trips, and some academic programs. The two school Boards are interested in exploring additional ways we might cooperate in order to best meet the needs of the towns' children. At some point soon, it may be beneficial to further blend our student populations and staff so that some Sudbury students attend school in Whiting, and some Whiting students attend school in Sudbury.
The School Board is interested in hearing from Sudbury residents about these two important topics:
• Should we operate a locally-funded preschool program for Sudbury and Whiting children?
• How might Sudbury and Whiting schools further collaborate in the coming years?
You are welcome to attend the School Board meeting at Sudbury's Country School Monday, February 10 to share your ideas and ask questions. These topics should come up for discussion around 5:30 pm that evening. If you are unable to attend, but want to send along your thoughts, please call or send comments/questions to us:
