Vermont Author and Vermont Humanities Council scholar, Nancy Marie Brown, will be discussing her book, The Far Traveler, and telling the tale of Gudrid, a Viking woman who sailed off the edge of the known world 500 years before Columbus. She lived in the New World for 3 years, giving birth to a baby before sailing home.
