Come join us in Tribute Park (between the church and the town hall) for free sandwiches, juice, snacks, games, bubbles, and facepainting. The games will be geared at ages 0-6, but all ages are welcome. At 1:30 everyone is invited to join in the Clif story hour in the town hall and get some free books. You don't have to be from West Windsor to attend - we just want to give families with young kids a chance to get together. Organized by Ascutney Mountain Promise Community and the Mary Blood Library.
Ascutney Mountain Promise Community (AMPC) supports the communities of Hartland, Weathersfield, West Windsor, and Windsor, Vermont in working with local organizations and parents/other caregivers of children age 0-6 to help all our kids and families become ready for kindergarten when the time comes. Our special focus is on social and emotional skills, like playing well with others, cooperation, taking turns, problem solving, and impulse control. We work with stakeholders that include parents or those acting as parents, early childhood educators, school systems, community health, business, libraries, and other community members to build an environment that encourages reading, playing, interacting with others, and developing the strong bonds that are at the core of social and emotional development.
