Isle La Motte Lighthouse Tour

Past event
Aug 4, 2018, 1 to 3 PM

The Isle La Motte Historical Society will host a guided "Tour of the Isle La Motte Lighthouse". This is a privately owned lighthouse and is rarely open to the public. Registration begins at 1:00 pm and continues until 2:30 pm at the Historical Society Campus located at the intersection of Main Street and Quarry Road and costs $20 per person. Once the participants have registered they will receive a map to the location of the lighthouse where the guided tour will run until 3 pm. Only 3 to 4 people can climb the lighthouse at a time to view the internal structure of the lighthouse and enjoy the view. The owners, Rob and Claire Clark, have graciously partnered with the Historical Society to allow this tour of their property. Rob is extremely knowledgeable about lighthouses in general and specifically about the Isle la Motte Lighthouse. This tour compliments the ILMHS Lighthouse exhibit in the Slab-log Cabin on the Historical Society Campus.
