Johnson Death Cafe is on for July 17. All are welcome to this discussion on death and end-of-life issues. Tuesday, July 17, 5:30pm to 7pm at the Johnson Municipal building, Rt. 15, Johnson, VT. (second floor)
Death is something that happens to all of us, and we will, sooner or later, find we need to talk about it with friends and our family. Like anything else, the more we talk about it, the better we get at talking about it and the better we get at listening.
A Death Cafe provides a safe and friendly place to discuss death and end of life concerns. A death cafe has no agenda, no promotions, and it is not a support group. Death Cafe is an international organization based on the premise that acknowledgement of our own mortality adds to the richness of our lives.
You can talk if you want, and you can listen if you don't feel like talking. You don't need to prepare anything.
We have tea and cake as well as interesting discussion. See deathcafe.com for details about this international group. Free Admission, open to public.
It would be great if you could email johnsondeathcafe@yahoo.com and let me know you're coming (so we know how many cookies and cakes to bring). However, emailing confirmation is not mandatory at all, just show up if you want, it is not a problem.
