Interested in backyard composting, but overwhelmed by the amount of information there is to learn?
Or are you an experienced composter looking to share your knowledge and experience with others?
Join NEKWMD Outreach Coordinator and Master Composter, Shannon Choquette, on the first floor of the Glover Town Office for this FREE 1.5-hour informational session where we will have a presentation and detailed discussion on:
1. The Universal Recycling and Composting law (and what it means for the backyard composter!)
2. What compost is, and how it is properly made,
3. Maintaining various styles of compost piles and systems,
4. The compost "recipe", including the "greens" and the "browns",
5. A brief explanation of the science of composting,
6. And troubleshooting common composting issues.
