A brief introduction to the different ways scientists determine water quality in rivers and streams. We will look at a case study of the Whetstone Brook in Brattleboro, overviews of monitoring results from other nearby rivers, and spend some time focusing on what makes waters safe for recreation. Presented by Ryan O'Donnell, Water Quality Monitoring Coordinator for Connecticut River Conservancy, Deerfield River Watershed Association, and Southeastern Vermont Watershed Alliance.

Held at the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum, 7599 Route 9 in Marlboro, VT at the Hogback Mtn. Scenic Overlook
