If you couldn't get to the World Cup games in Russia, you can still get to the annual Croquet Competition and Ice Cream Social with the East Montpelier and Calais Historical Societies on Monday, July 16 at 6:00 p.m. It will be held on the fine croquet court at the home of Chris Reed and Teresa Doyle ,1795 Rte. 214, in East Montpelier at 6:00 p.m. Turn off of Rte. 14 N at the site of the old Riverbend Store. Players needed for both teams! Bring a lawn chair and bug spray. Calais holds the trophy and the EMHS wants to get it back! Meeting is free and open to all.
