Artists of every genre and experience level are invited to a free panel discussion in the Black Box Theater of the Main Street Landing Performing Arts Center, featuring writers from Seven Days, The Burlington Free Press, and Pitchfork. Seven Days music editor Dan Bolles, Burlington Free Press Arts & Entertainment Writer Brent Hallenbeck, and music journalist Casey Rea (Pitchfork, Dusted Magazine, Groove Magazine, Signal To Noise, Washington City Paper) will all be hanging out with you for a conversation about getting press - what you should know or do as a musician to pave the way to exposure in the publications that matter to you.
It’s February 26, 7pm, free and all-ages, and happens just before a free family-friendly concert with singer songwriter Maryse Smith followed by HOT Flannel, featuring fiddler Patrick Ross. For more panel and concert info see bigheavyworld.com . The panel and concert venue is accessible; for info call (802) 865-1140. Main Street Landing’s Black Box Theater is located at 60 Lake Street in Burlington. This monthly panel & concert event is part of the Rocket Shop Live at Main Street Landing series presented by Big Heavy World, Main Street Landing, and RETN with support from Advance Music, Moreau Theatrical Services, 105.9FM The Radiator, the Vermont Arts Council and National Endowment for the Arts.
