You're invited! The Montpelier Historic Preservation Commission invites you to attend a community open house on Thursday, July 12th from 4:30PM- 7:00 in the Memorial Room at City Hall.
For the last 12 months, the Commission has been diligently working to update the City's design review regulations. The community open house will feature several stations focused on the district boundaries, draft design review standards, and the purpose and goals of the Design Control District. Community members can stop by anytime between 4:30-7:00 PM and stay for as little or as long as they like. Commission members and staff will be available to answer questions and review the proposed revisions.The Commission is particularly interested in obtaining feedback from property owners and business owners within the Design Control District. The Montpelier design review revision project is supported by a Certified Local Government grant from the National Park Service, as administered through the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation.
