The Jericho Conservation Commission and Planning Commission will host an open "office hours" session on Tuesday July 24 from 6-8 at the Jericho Town Hall, where Jericho residents can come for ~10-minute consultations and ask specific questions about your property, go through what the NRO might mean for you, and possibly help you understand how your property is important to the town from a natural resource standpoint. You can send us your address/parcel info ahead of time if they want to or just show up. You can also sign up for a specific time if you'd like. This is an opportunity for landowners to openly communicate with local ecologists about their specific property and the natural resource value it may contain and its potential applicability to the new NRO.
This office consult session will be followed by a field component on Tuesday July 31 between the hours of 3-7 pm. Some of the landowners who come on the 24th will surface questions that may be best answered in the field. As a group we would visit a select group of properties, look at the resources in question, and further try to answer landowner questions or build understanding about the NRO. We would go to as many properties as we had time for and further visits could potentially be arranged. Visit preference would be for landowners who attend on July 24 office session first. The July 31 field visits are welcome for the general public to attend, if the property owner permits.
