Cabot Arts is proud to join with The Summit School and Concerts at the Schoolhouse to present MARTIN HAYES, one of the greatest Irish fiddlers. With a lush, dark tone, Martin explores the Irish repertoire from the inside with the same gravity, virtuosity and dynamic variety a concert violinist would bring to Bach Partitas and Pagannini Caprices.
If you had any doubts that "traditional" music is as complex, soul-filling and sublime as the "classics", Martin will dispel them. He holds audiences in rapture through his long, lyrical and unpredictable medleys in venues as different as the Champlain Valley Folk Festival and Dublin's Temple Bar. As a critic in The Irish Times wrote: In the decades to come, we'll surely talk of having seen this man in the way others talk of Miles Davis or Jimi Hendrix or John Coltrane.
Martin will appear at the Cabot Town Hall, 3084 Main Street in Cabot on Wednesday, July 18 at 7 PM.
PLEASE NOTE: For this concert, advance ticket purchase is offered and recommended and can be purchased at
